Brenda Ortiz is an Assistant Professor in the College of Agriculture at Auburn University and native of Columbia. She spoke with the “I Am Alabama” project in January of 2012 her childhood love of science textbooks, her interactions with communities of farmers in Alabama, and her move to the United States.
